Becoming a part of this local church

We're excited that you are considering to be part of this local body in a more committed and identifiable way. The essence of membership is to help our leaders know who they are serving and who they are accountable for (Hebrews 13:17), while also providing people a way to identify who their leaders are (Hebrews 13:7). If you feel led to move forward with the process of becoming a member, please see the requirements below before sending an application.

Membership Requirements

Potential members must be at least 18 years old, have a repentant faith in the Gospel, and be consecrated unto the Lord.

Potential members must have regularly attended Maranatha Bible Church for at least six (6) months.

Potential members must have been water baptized following a profession of faith as a believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Potential members must read the Statement of Faith, Church Distinctives, and the Constitution & Bylaws before applying.

Potential members must be willing to be interviewed by the elders and may require class(es) in doctrine, polity, and vision of Maranatha Bible Church.

Potential members must be willing for the Board of Elders to contact any previous churches that applicants have attended (if necessary).
