Practical ways to apply this message to your life.

• Examine what cup you're drinking from. Every ideology, every movement, every spiritual trend hands you something and says, 'Drink.' Before you swallow, look inside. Does it honor the authority of Scripture? Does it exalt Christ alone for salvation? If the answer is no — no matter how golden the vessel — set it down and walk away.
• Guard your church's identity with your life. When political figures court the church for endorsement, when cultural movements pressure the pulpit to become a megaphone for their agenda, remember: the great prostitute rode the beast and thought she was in control. She was discarded the moment she was no longer useful. The church is an embassy of an eternal kingdom — not a branch office of any earthly party.
• Test your sobriety right now. When is the last time you actually talked to God — not a rushed grace before dinner, but real, conscious, unhurried prayer? Peter ties sobriety directly to prayer. If your prayer life has gone cold, that is the first symptom that something else has begun to intoxicate you. Dig in. Read the doctrinal statement. Compare it to Scripture. Your soul is worth more than an Instagram-worthy worship experience.
• Prepare your heart for the cost of faithfulness. Revelation 17:6 does not whisper — it shouts. The blood of the saints will flow. If you follow Christ in the days ahead, it will not be popular. It may not be safe. Begin building the kind of fellowship with God now that can sustain you when the pressure becomes unbearable. Faithfulness in the fire is forged in the quiet hours before the fire starts.
