• 3You will not hide your sin forever. If the thought of exposure before your spouse or your church makes you tremble, how much more should you tremble at the judgment seat of Christ?
• 4What a tragedy to enter heaven empty-handed — saved, yes, but with nothing to lay at the feet of the One who gave everything for you.
• 5Money was designed to be a servant, never a master. The moment it rules your thoughts and defines your security, you have bowed to a rival god.

Practical ways to apply this message to your life.

• Sit down this week and ask yourself one honest question: Am I investing in eternity with the same vigor that I invest in my retirement account? If your 401(k) gets more attention than the kingdom of God, something has gone terribly wrong. Redirect some of that energy — give generously, support gospel work, use your resources to touch lives that will last forever.
• If you are living a double life — one face at church, another in secret — hear this plainly: you are not clever enough to keep it hidden forever. Do not wait for exposure to drag you into the light. Go to God now, in repentance, and find the mercy that makes you pure as a virgin who has never sinned. He is that kind of God.
• Stop saying 'I'm content' about your spiritual growth while you would never say 'I'm content' about your bank account. Search the Scriptures daily with the same hunger a day-trader reads market reports. Knowledge of God's Word rightly applied produces eternal reward.
• The next time you hold a dollar in your hand, remember Jesus called it 'the least.' Use it as a test of your own heart. Where does it go? Does it serve your comfort alone, or does it advance the fame of Christ in your city and across the world?
• Consider: one day in the eternal dwellings, someone you never met may greet you — someone whose salvation your generosity helped make possible. Let that vision fuel your giving, your praying, and your willingness to speak the gospel to the person standing right in front of you.
