Live this week like the high priest might walk out of the Holy of Holies at any moment. That is the posture of a real Christian — not panicked, but watchful, expectant, ready. Before your head hits the pillow tonight, ask yourself: if He came back right now, would I be relieved or terrified?
Stop separating the gentle Jesus of the Gospels from the conquering Christ of Revelation. Read Isaiah 63 this week alongside John 1. Let the full portrait of who He is reshape your worship — not just the Savior who bled for you, but the King who will tread the winepress of God's fury. Love the whole Christ, not just the comfortable parts.
The next time you find yourself consumed by political anxiety — doomscrolling through headlines, losing sleep over elections — pause and remember: there is a King whose government will never end, whose crowns cannot be counted, and whose breath alone will vanquish every enemy. Redirect that energy into prayer for the lost around you. They need an ambassador, not another anxious commentator.
Think of one person in your life who does not know Christ. This week, look them in the eye and tell them plainly what you believe and why. You do not need eloquence. You need conviction. Remember the atheist who came to hear Whitefield: 'I don't believe what he says — but he does.' People can smell genuine faith. Let yours carry a fragrance.
If the book of Revelation makes you sweat with fear rather than sing with hope, go back and find yourself in the story. You are not among those who face the eyes of fire. You are in the army behind Him, clothed in white, sharing in His triumph. Let that security — not anxiety — be the engine of your obedience.
